Lights of Kazinga Orphanage is a community-based child care and support initiative located in the Kyambura area of western Uganda. We are dedicated to providing care, and educational support to vulnerable children while promoting family and community-based solutions.
Our work is rooted in compassion, responsibility, and respect for the dignity of every child. We believe that children thrive best in safe, nurturing environments that support their emotional, physical, and educational development.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support vulnerable children through access to basic needs, education, guidance, and community care while upholding strong child-protection principles and promoting long-term well-being.

We envision a future where every child grows up in a safe, loving, and supportive environment, with opportunities to learn, develop skills, and reach their full potential.
What We Do
At Lights of Kazinga Orphanage, we focus on:
- Providing daily care and protection for vulnerable children
- Supporting access to education, school materials, and learning support
- Promoting health, hygiene, and emotional well-being
- Working with families and the local community to strengthen child welfare
- Encouraging responsible community involvement and support

Community-Based Approach
Lights of Kazinga works closely with families, caregivers, and community members to support children in ways that strengthen local capacity and promote sustainability. We believe community involvement is essential for creating lasting positive change.

We value transparency in how we operate and how support is used. Contributions and donations are directed toward the care, education, and welfare of the children through approved and accountable channels.
How You Can Support

- staying with us at our homestay while on your Uganda safari as you visit Queen Elizabeth Park.
