Important Information for Volunteers
This is a volunteer placement program, not a holiday safari.
Volunteers are expected to actively participate in community projects.
Accommodation and meals are basic and culturally appropriate.
Safaris and leisure tours can be arranged at an extra cost after or during the program.
OUR VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMS
HEALTH CARE / MEDICAL OUTREACH
Hospitals and clinics located around our orphanage, lack adequate staff and resources. Lights Of Kazinga collaborates with local hospitals and clinics to provide volunteers who have a strong passion for helping others and a willingness to dedicate their time and energy to those without easy-access to medical facilities. Participating in the healthcare volunteer project with Lights Of Kazinga opens tremendous opportunities for volunteers/travelers to experience new opportunities in their lives and careers. Volunteers have the unique chance to immerse themselves into another culture while making a positive contribution to the community where the need is the greatest.
AGRICULTURE OUTREACH
Volunteering in agriculture in Uganda can be a very rewarding way to contribute to food security, sustainable development, and local communities. Volunteers work alongside local farmers to help with planting, caring for animals, and harvesting crops. Volunteers also learn about organic farming, food security, and environmental protection.

ENVIROMENTAL CONSERVATION
Environmental volunteering with us can be a rewarding experience that allows you to make a difference in the community, learn about local culture, and gain valuable experience. Uganda is a rich country for biodiversity conservation, and is home to many unique attractions, including the Rwenzori mountain range, the source of the Nile, and the world’s longest river
CONSTRUCTION & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Volunteer in Uganda to help the local community with construction work, assisting local Self Help Groups, assisting local civil society organizations
WOMENS EMPOWERMENT
Volunteer work for women’s empowerment in UgandaVolunteers can assist in teaching business skills, conducting workshops on financial literacy, or providing support in setting up small businesses. By empowering women financially, they are able to create a better future for themselves and their families.
TEACHING
The volunteer will work with teachers to train our pupils and students in different sports disciplines in addition to physical education training .
MUSIC, DANCE, DRAMA TUTOR
The program seeks to build talents and skills of young people in Music, Dance and Drama and contributing their Wellbeing and community transformation

The volunteers will train women/children in different skills of making/designing locally made handcraft like baskets ,wallmats,table trays and mats using local material
